This has been a particularly trying and exhausting year for most of us. That’s why I was excited to create this joyful and healthy holiday gift guide for you so that we can put 2020 behind us, look forward to better days ahead and help support small business owners and company’s I love at the same time. Below you’ll find a list of services and products that made an impact on me this year. I hope you’ll find some inspiration for your family and friends or maybe even for yourself.

Happy Holidays!

Moon juice

I stumbled upon this fabulous company by accident.  Since starting my Culinary Nutrition program this past September I have learned so much about the medicinal and healing power of mushrooms and adaptogenic herbs.  One of the other students in the class mentioned Moon juice and their line of “dusts” which are powders filled with concentrated superfoods and medicinal mushrooms (no, not THAT kind of medicinal mushroom) that you can use as coffee creamers, put in smoothies and even sprinkle on your morning cereal for extra nutrition and oomph.  Each type of dust focuses on a specific outcome - like “Power Dust” (for energy) “Sex Dust” for  (libido and hormonal balance) and “Dream Dust” (for sleep support).  I recently tried the Cosmic Dust which is a powdered form of a golden milk turmeric latte.  I am picky and it was really delicious.

Earthly

I use earthly as my go-to store for all things tinctures.  I use their “Energy Plus” tincture every day which supports my focus and energy during the day.  It has dandelion leaf and nettle among other nutrient rich herbs.  I also use their Natural balance for adrenal support and the Immune support tincture, which has my favorite cold-busting herb in it, echinacea.  I use it whenever I feel a cold or sniffle coming.  Personally, with everything going on this year with the pandemic, give someone the preventative gift of health and resiliency.

Ninja foodi

I love my Ninja Foodi!  I gave it to MYSELF as a gift last year and I have no regrets!  It’s an air fryer and a pressure cooker so it already surpasses the Instant Pot.  But it also has ELEVEN other settings which I use often, including the ability to steam, slow cook, make yogurt, sous vide, air fry crisp, bake/roast, sear/sauté, broil, dehydrate, and keep foods warm inside the pot.  Give this to your favorite home cook!

Strawsome Straws

These are just some pretty cool eco-friendly straws.  Good stocking stuffers. You can even put your logo, name or a personalized graphic on them!

Mountain Rose Herbs

I love this company!  They specialize in wholesale herbs, essential oils, bath and body products, teas, culinary items and more.  They have gift certificates as well.  I’ve recently been making my own beauty products like this skin salve, and love being able to have such a wide selection of flowers, herbs and other botanicals to choose from.  They also sell seasoning blends, natural baby products, kitchen tools and gadgets and educational books.  Go check them out!

Drink Trade

COFFEE.  Period.  The end.

No seriously, if you like to hit the java daily and want to customize your coffee experience, this is such a cool product.  They “match” you with a coffee connoisseur who will help you personalize and choose your coffee experience each month.  They also have coffee bundles and other coffee-licious offers to buy as gifts...so off you go!

Mouth

If you’re looking for interesting and exciting specialty food to send as a gift, look no further than mouth.com.  I love how you can filter their products by dietary needs, and other categories.  They even have subscriptions.  I mean, who wouldn’t want a monthly pickle or jerky subscription.  Am i right?

The following are some of my favorite books and cookbooks I read in 2020.  All of them make fantastic gifts especially to your loved ones who are as obsessed with food, psychology, behavioral economics, cooking and healthy living as I am.

Small business owner friends

Shira Hanna Designs

Shira is a good friend and neighbor.  Our kids have all been friends since birth.  And, she is a phenomenal jewellery maker.  I have purchased a few pairs of her earrings.  Everything is so lovingly made using beautiful sourced crystals and precious stones. These bespoke and absolutely gorgeous and nature inspired pieces make a fabulous gift for a friend or family maker

Ariel Shoemaker Mosaics

Ariel is another close friend and fellow small business owner.  I am mesmerized by her mosaic work.  She takes custom orders from all over the country.  This is for someone who wants a special art piece for their home or a one-of-a-kind artistic backsplash for their kitchens.

Fiberworks by Arlene Jacobs

My Mom, the amazing Arlene Jacobs has a new etsy shop.  She makes edgy and elegant masks, bags, iphone covers and more.  These make wonderful & special gifts for friends and family during the holidays.

At-home learning and courses

There is nothing more satisfying and important than helping someone improve their health and self-development. I have two programs that I’m running right now to help inspire fundamental and transformational change in how you eat, how you move and how you take care of yourself. I continue to be obsessed with helping you feel better! Check out these two programs and surprise someone with an extraordinary gift of replenishing and renewal in 2021, with a wise and trusting guide by your side.
